Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in membership services, customer service, hospitality, recreation, retail, or related field.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with membership management software (Daxko preferred) or similar CRM systems; Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze problems, use sound judgment, and decide appropriately.
• Ability to learn new technology and maintain accurate records.
• Basic budgeting, cash handling, collections, inventory control, and financial accountability knowledge.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in interactions.
• Commitment to YMCA mission, values, and inclusive culture.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• Completion of required YMCA trainings within established timeframes.
• Successful background check per YMCA policies.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for outreach and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead membership growth and engagement strategies to prospect, retain, and engage members with a welcoming culture.
• Provide guidance and supervision for front desk staff and volunteers including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee daily membership operations with front desk procedures, member check-in, processing, and program registrations.
• Promote YMCA programs and services through outreach, lead management, and marketing collaboration.
• Represent the YMCA in the community by organizing events and building partnerships.
• Administer membership support functions including scholarship applications, collections, facility rentals, and retail inventory.
• Maintain operational excellence through staffing, issue reporting, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, risk management, and safety protocols.
• Participate in leadership and organizational meetings and support branch operations.
• Model exceptional customer service in all interactions with members, guests, volunteers, and staff.
