Job summary

The YMCA Fairfax County Reston is seeking a proactive Membership Director to grow membership, engage members, and lead a high-performing team in a community-focused setting. You will collaborate with branch leaders to strengthen the Y’s role as a community hub and deliver exceptional member experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in membership or customer-experience leadership, a strong track record in onboarding and retention, and the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet community

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver member experiences.
• Experience growing membership and retention through relationship-building and engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for welcoming environments.
• 3+ years in membership, sales, or customer experience leadership; able to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth and retention through exceptional service and relationship-building.
• Lead member tours, onboarding, and engagement efforts.
• Monitor membership trends and help improve the member experience.
• Collaborate with branch leadership to strengthen the Y’s role as a community hub.
