Job summary

The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is seeking a Membership Experience Director to lead membership acquisition, engagement, and retention at assigned centers. You will direct development and promotion of membership in the community and within the Y, ensuring high-quality service for members and guests.

Reporting to the Membership Experience Executive, you will drive growth, supervise a dedicated team, and collaborate with marketing to enhance outreach and events that strengthen community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ supervisory experience.
• Ability to interact with people from all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles.
• Working knowledge of computers and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision and goals of the YMCA.
• Promotes a professional work environment through character development by modeling YMCA values.
• Leads in a manner that strengthens community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Promotes and participates in association task forces, committees, and/or workgroups.
