Job summary

The George Washington University’s Division for Student Affairs invites applications for a Senior Member Service Coordinator within Campus Recreation on GW's Foggy Bottom campus in Washington, DC. You will oversee membership sales, locker rentals, front desk access, and revenue-related operations, while coordinating with GW IT, GWorld, and external groups.

The role supervises up to 15 fitness attendants, 25 guest service attendants, and 1 marketing assistant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study.
• Degree must be conferred by start date; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all membership sales, locker rentals, and front desk access control.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Review financial reconciliations related to revenue including memberships, programs, and services.
• Manage business operations software (membership CRM, access control, activity registration, equipment rental, online purchasing, payment processing).
• Implement a marketing plan to maximize membership and revenue and expand guest participation.
• Lead development and distribution of promotions and external email communications.
• Coordinate coverage and represent Campus Recreation at events.
• Develop and deliver training and guidelines for student staff in membership sales and guest services; supervise up to 15 Fitness Attendants, 25 Guest Service Attendants, 1 Marketing Assistant.
