The George Washington University’s Division of Student Affairs seeks an Area Coordinator I to lead residential communities, supervise student staff, and promote belonging and learning.

You will collaborate with campus partners, respond to incidents, oversee summer operations, and ensure program delivery aligned with CLRE priorities. This is a live-in role with weekend hours and on-site commitments at Foggy Bottom.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; degree conferred by start date.
• Must live on campus as a condition of employment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience supervising, advising, and developing undergraduate student leaders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily operations of one or more residence halls, including community development and occupancy management.
• Recruit, advise, and support Hall Council members and student leadership.
• Provide direct supervision of undergraduate student staff and support their development.
• Build relationships with residents to identify needs and connect students with campus resources.
• Respond to and manage room and suitemate conflicts, including mediations and follow-up.
• Collaborate with Living-Learning Community partners and campus departments to support student success.
• Uphold university policies and participate in a 24/7 on-call system for incidents.
