Job summary

The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is seeking a Membership Experience Staff member to deliver outstanding service to members and guests. You will welcome, connect, support, and engage all members and staff, while processing memberships and guiding tours of the facility.

Responsibilities include greeting, check-in, phone handling, and maintaining a safe, clean Welcome Center. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 60 days of hire and training will be provided to ensure high service

Qualifications

Minimum age 16.
YMCA experience in member services or related field preferred.
Ability to interface with basic software programs and use phone systems.
Ability to perform math to manage money and accounting procedures in YMCA software.
Business professional communication skills.
CPR/First Aid/AED/O2/CAP certification required within 60 days of hire.
Complete trainings: NEO, Bloodborne Pathogens, CAP, Sexual Harassment.
Background check and Child Protective Services check required.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist members, check-in and process new member records.
Promote a professional work environment and model YMCA values.
Lead to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Ensure all entrants are greeted, checked-in, and properly processed.
Manage daily Welcome Center operations and maintain area cleanliness.
Wear proper uniform and name tag; keep supplies stocked.
