Job summary

Brookgreen Gardens, a National Historic Landmark in Murrells Inlet, SC, seeks a part-time Membership Services Coordinator to deliver exceptional member service and support the membership program.

You will welcome members and volunteers, assist with renewals, benefits, and account updates, and help with events and outreach to engage and retain members. Prior nonprofit or hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in customer service, membership services, nonprofit administration, hospitality, sales, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for Windows, Microsoft Teams, and CRM software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the membership fulfillment process for all members, including corporate, volunteer, and employee memberships.
• Support event coordination, including operations plans, pre- and post-event follow-up communication, and serving as a point of contact for vendors.
• Develop content for newsletters, invitations, fliers, solicitation materials, and acknowledgements.
• Provide backup support for membership and donation transactions, including sales, renewals, upgrades, and gift memberships.
• Maintain organized and confidential member files, including updating contact information.
• Coordinate scheduling and training for volunteer Membership Ambassadors.
• Coordinate complimentary memberships, the gift membership program, and membership giveaways.
