Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Membership Data Analyst in Wilmington, Delaware, to use statistical analysis and reporting to grow and retain the total membership base. The role supports monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and presents results to senior leadership in a hybrid work setting.

The position requires 3+ years as a data analyst, strong SQL and BI tool proficiency, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Travel to conferences may be required.

Job description

The Membership Data Analyst at AAA Club Alliance uses statistical analysis and reporting to develop insights that support strategies for growing and retaining the total membership base. This hybrid role in Wilmington, DE also contributes to monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and presentation of results to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analysis to surface variances, trends, and correlations across member demographics, purchasing behaviors, product utilization, membership penetration, and audience retention.
• Build target audience models to support membership acquisition and salvage campaigns based on data findings.
• Support membership budget planning by assisting with forecasting and reporting.
• Create narrative reports, charts, and illustrations centered on key metrics such as member retention, attrition, promotion response, and usage behaviors and trends.
• Analyze membership data daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually to identify trends in new and renewal performance across sales channels.
• Review membership renewal trends to inform updates to renewal programs, including renewal bill and email cadence, automatic renewal, monthly payment plans, outreach to lapsed members, and auto renew declines.
• Compile and analyze direct mail performance, and report results with recommendations to senior leadership.
• Use insights from multiple data sources to identify improvement areas for leadership decision-making and provide conclusions and recommendations.
• Provide project-based analytical support to other business areas, including marketing, to create and support membership acquisition and retention campaigns.
• Validate metric accuracy by analyzing data and processes for anomalies or data quality issues; coordinate with relevant areas such as membership operations and customer experience CRM to resolve source-data problems.
• Develop, schedule, and oversee the delivery of membership reporting deliverables across daily through annual cadences to meet executive leadership needs.
• Create and maintain process documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Protect and strengthen the AAA brand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Mathematics, Economies, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with budget planning, forecasting, and report creation.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Required proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Office applications or other business intelligence applications.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
• Ability to apply, transform, communicate, and present statistical knowledge in a way that is understandable to different business lines.
• Ability to review reports and turn insights into trends that support business plans for membership growth and retention.
• Ability to work independently.
• May require travel to out-of-state conferences or meetings on an as-needed basis.

Helpful Tools and Technologies

• Tableau or Power BI experience is helpful but not required.

Salary and Location

Location: Wilmington, DE (hybrid; 3 days on-site weekly).
Salary: USD 58,859 - 94,783 per year.
