Job summary

Matern Staffing, Inc. is recruiting a Member Service Representative for a public utility in Fredericksburg, VA.

You will be the first point of contact, resolving customer questions and issues with a calm demeanor and quick, analytical thinking. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, promote products and services, maintain current product knowledge, research account status, process disconnections and reconnections, enroll customers, provide price quotes, and initiate collection activity for

Qualifications

• Experience in an inbound/outbound call center environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Outstanding phone etiquette and polished written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass background requirements in criminal, credit, and drug screen.
• Calm demeanor when processing tough questions or issues.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify areas for process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Field incoming customer service calls, assuming responsibility to resolve customer issues in an accurate and timely manner
• Make outbound customer calls to promote and sell a product or service
• Develop and maintain sales material and current product knowledge
• Research account status and identify account issues
• Process disconnection and reconnection requests
• Enroll customers and resolve enrollment issues
• Provide price quotes to prospective customers
• Initiate collection activity for past due accounts
