Job summary

Bookmark Medical in Westwood, MA, is seeking a Member Services Representative to support patients through the full treatment pathway in a call-center role.

You will handle incoming calls, learn practice schedules, coordinate care with staff and providers, document in EMR, and communicate after-care plans. This full-time position requires EST hours, strong communication, and remote-friendly work with occasional trips to Nashville or Westwood.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care processes, medical terminology, and insurance products.
• Strong written and oral communication with patients and staff.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills.
• Willing to work EST hours and coordinate with Nashville or Westwood locations.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls in the Primary Care Call Center and obtain necessary information from the patient to process the call.
• Know each practice and provider's schedule and scheduling preferences.
• Interact with Practice staff and providers to communicate and coordinate all patient care aspects, including pre-visit planning and insurance eligibility.
• Establishing scheduling and confirming appointments; documenting information in the EMR; communicating after-care plans.

What you will do:

• Answer patient telephone calls coming into the Primary Care Call Center and obtain necessary information from the patient to process the call.
• Have knowledge of each practice and provider's schedule and scheduling preferences.
• Interact with Practice staff and providers to communicate and work cooperatively regarding all aspects of patient care and coordination, including:
  • Establishing pre-visit planning protocols and determining insurance eligibility.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Timely, effective, and accurate information notated in the practice EMR system.
  • Communicating with patients about the after-care plan.
• Act professionally and treat patients, co-workers, and leadership with respect always.

Required:

• Knowledge of health care and or related products, medical terminology, insurance products, and coordination of benefits
• Ability to communicate with others effectively in a concise manner.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Must work EST hours
• Comfortable working remotely with the ability to commute to our corporate locations in either Nashville, TN, or Westwood, MA.
