Job Summary

The Member Services Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  2. Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and escalate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
  3. Handle all front desk activities including:
    1. Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
    2. Check members into the system.
    3. New member sign-up.
    4. Take prospective members on tours.
    5. Facilitate updates to members' accounts.
  4. Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including:
    1. Cleaning and sanitizing all exercise equipment and amenities.
    2. Ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free.
    3. Performing routine walk-throughs to address safety and cleanliness issues.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Customer service background preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude!
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
  • Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking continually during shifts.
  • Talking in person or on the phone continually during shifts.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Encountering toxic chemicals during shifts.
  • Moving into different positions as needed to perform tasks.
