Job summary

Forest Area Federal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented teller to support members with cash handling and routine transactions in a community-focused environment. You will balance cash drawers daily, maintain accurate records, and ensure policy-compliant service with a high degree of accuracy.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly, professional, personal, and confidential service to all members and associates.
• Balance cash drawer daily with strict accuracy and within policy limits.
• Accurately post transactions with fewer than 2 unresolved posting errors in a 1 month period (as per policy).
• Proactively identify opportunities to present products and services that benefit the member.
• Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Receive or pay out funds with high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain accurate transactional records and provide basic cash receipt and payment services.
• Accurately post transactions and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
• Proactively identify opportunities to offer appropriate products and services for the benefit of the member.

Position Purpose

Perform transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high degree of accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

Performance Measurements

• Provide friendly, professional, personal, and confidential service to all members and associates.
• Balance cash drawer daily, with no more than $2 off and with total offages not to exceed 2 in a 1 month period in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Accurately post transactions, having fewer than 2 unresolved posting errors in a 1 month period.
• Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
• Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the greater benefit of the member.
• Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
• Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
