Job summary

Bridge Credit Union is seeking an energetic Member Services Representative to serve members with deposits, withdrawals, and everyday banking needs in Columbus, OH.

You will balance cash, open/close accounts, and assist with inquiries while promoting Credit Union services; prior cash-handling experience and strong math and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Good communication skills; professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
• Good math skills; ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
• Data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances for members in person, by phone, electronically, and by mail.
• Balance each day’s transactions and verify cash totals.
• Open and close accounts; renew certificates; assist members with account inquiries and problems.
• Answer member questions regarding Credit Union services and perform account maintenance duties.
• Actively cross-sell Credit Union services; assist other staff as required; serve as daily vault teller when needed.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday : 8am - 4 pm
Saturday : 9 am - 1 pm

Job Description:

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, via phone, electronically, and through the mail, including but not limited to processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and assisting members with account inquiries and problems. Answers members' questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services. Performs specific assigned duties and assists other Member Services Representatives/Specialist with duties as required. Serves members promptly and professionally. Acts as a daily vault teller, when needed.
