Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a Member Service Specialist to work at the Scott County office in Gate City, VA. The role involves insurance processing, member support, and administrative assistance to the Agency Manager and county leaders.

Responsibilities include processing payments, issuing certificates, assisting agents, and maintaining records and memberships while working 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must obtain P&C license within three months of employment.
• Must maintain licenses through CE credits.

Responsibilities

• Insurance processing: answer inquiries by phone, email and in person; process payments; submit claim reports; prepare certificates of insurance and binders; process Tier 1 policy changes.
• Support Agents: quote home and auto, process new business, promote cross-selling, set appointments, promote FB Bank products, support life insurance products.
• Promote Healthcare offerings: know basic products and collect referral information.
• Maintain county Farm Bureau records, files and permanent documents.
• Handle county financial accounting: record transactions and deposits.
• Maintain membership information and renewal processes; manage membership data.
• Assist in planning county board meetings and record minutes.
• Maintain communication with County President and Directors.
• Open/close office and manage supplies.
• Operate all county-office computer programs and equipment.
• Attend training and perform other duties as assigned.

Education
