Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau Family of Companies seeks a Member Service Specialist to provide insurance processing, service and sales support at the Yorktown, VA branch. You will become part of the county sales team and training for the Sr Member Service Specialist role within three years as requirements are met.

Responsibilities include processing inquiries, supporting agents, promoting healthcare and FB Bank products, maintaining records, and assisting with meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; licenses within four months.
• Must obtain P&C and L&H licenses within four months of employment.
• Must maintain licenses through CE credits.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and in-house systems.

Responsibilities

• Process insurance inquiries by phone, email, or in person.
• Submit claim reports and issue certificates of insurance.
• Assist with new business quotes and cross-selling.
• Promote FB Bank products and support agents.
• Promote Healthcare product lines and referrals.
• Maintain county Farm Bureau records and financials.
• Administer membership renewals and manage records.
• Prepare board meeting minutes and support meetings.
• Open/close office and manage supplies.
