Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau’s Amherst County Office seeks a friendly Member Service Specialist to support insurance processing, service and sales while assisting county leadership. You will handle inquiries by phone, email and in person, process payments, prepare certificates, and help maintain records and membership data; a P&C license is required within three months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must obtain P&C license within three months of employment.
• Paid training for licensing and standard sales training.
• Ongoing development and support in all roles.
• Medical and dental insurance on your first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Insurance processing: respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person; process payments; submit claim reports; prepare certificates of insurance and binders; process changes.
• Support Agents: quote home/auto, process new business, promote cross-selling, set appointments, promote FB Bank products, and support life insurance products.
• Promote the Healthcare operation: knowledge of product offerings and referral information.
• Maintain county Farm Bureau records, files and permanent documents; manage financial accounting and deposits.
• Admin duties: membership processing, minutes, board meeting support, and communications with leadership.
