Job summary

Taunton Federal Credit Union in Middleborough, MA is seeking a Universal Banker to provide proactive member service and handle transactions and account servicing. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, research to resolve inquiries, and educating members on suitable products and services.

Qualifications include 2 years of cash handling in a banking setting, strong communication, and the ability to work Saturdays. Bilingual English/Portuguese or English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ cash handling experience preferably in a bank or credit union setting.
• High energy level, good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and follow up on tasks.
• Ability to plan and organize, handle multiple priorities and stressful situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work branch hours as needed including Saturday.
• Bilingual English/Portuguese or English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process member transactions including check cashing, deposits and loan payments.
• Perform account servicing requests both in person and via telephone.
• Uncover member needs and provide member service services such as opening accounts.
• Answer phones and conduct appropriate research to resolve member inquiries.
• Educate members on products and services that could benefit them.
