Job summary

The YMCA of Greensboro is seeking a Member Services Staff to welcome members and guests at the front desk, answer calls, and communicate policy and program information. Hours are flexible between 9am and 9pm with some weekends; the role is part-time and non-exempt, paying $13 per hour at 900 Bonner Dr, Jamestown, NC.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Cash handling and ability to return change.
• Engage with members and relate to diverse groups.
• Stay calm under pressure; de-escalate conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members and guests.
• Sell memberships and process program registrations and payments.
• Build relationships with members and connect them with the Y.
• Balance end-of-shift receipts.
• Enforce YMCA policies and verify memberships.
• Monitor locker rooms and secure the building after hours.
