Job summary

CoastHills is seeking a Member Services Officer 3 – Operations Specialist in Santa Maria, CA. The role supports the Branch Supervisor with operations, handles member inquiries by phone, email, or in person, and promotes Credit Union products.

Responsibilities include account handling, trust and IRA work, and cross-selling GAP, MBI, and Debt Cancellation during loan processes. The position requires strong service skills and knowledge of Credit Union products.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience in retail or banking.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, is desirable.
• Knowledge of consumer loans and loan processing.
• Successful completion of member services certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes membership accounts, trusts and IRAs; performs transactions.
• Cross-sells Credit Union products as appropriate.
• Performs death claim related duties.
• Maintains vault cash and ensures secure handling of cash.
• Ensures branch documents meet quality and compliance standards.
• Assists with monthly certifications to ensure compliance and minimize audit exceptions.
• Trains new employees in MSO duties and ensures proper training.
