Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking a Community First Teller to deliver WOW service while handling cash accurately and processing a high volume of transactions for our members. You will balance cash drawers, process deposits and loan payments, and promote credit union products in a friendly, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and web-based software.
• Passion for providing outstanding service to members.
• Ability to work hard, find solutions, and have fun.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external members.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit into members' accounts.
• Cash checks for members.
• Accept loan and credit card payments.
• Make transactions between accounts as instructed by members.
• Place proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds following policy.
• Handle proper disbursement of cashier's checks, money orders, and gift cards.
• Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit union.
• Accurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day.
• Promote, cross-sell, and refer credit union products and services to fulfill member financial needs.
