Job summary

Self-Help Federal Credit Union in Chicago's Little Village team is seeking a Member Service Supervisor to lead MSRs, ensure daily operations, and uphold cash-handling protocols. The role includes coaching staff, balancing transactions, and maintaining security while delivering excellent member service.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance feedback, and collaboration with the Branch Manager to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years MSR II or equivalent with cash-handling and customer service.
• Preference for teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity.
• Experience developing and/or supervising MSR staff.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Proficient with New Solutions and Microsoft Office; able to learn bank systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workstations are organized for the day.
• Staffing the operations line and maintaining proper staffing levels.
• Guide MSRs on more difficult transactions.
• Balance daily transactions and cash handling.
• Secure cash and negotiable items; manage branch cash limits.
• Train new MSRs and provide feedback to management.
• Lead staff meetings and training sessions.
• Support business development and explain services to members.
• Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act and AML rules.
• Resolve member account problems and maintain positive public relations.
