Job summary

Self-Help Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Supervisor to lead the Little Village, IL MSR team. The role focuses on ensuring daily operations, staff guidance, and accurate cash handling while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has MSR supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. This position supports the credit union’s mission of expanding economic opportunity in underserved communities.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years’ MSR II or equivalent experience including cash-handling and customer service.
• Experience in developing and/or supervising MSR staff.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with New Solutions and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workstations are organized and equipped for the start of the business day.
• Assist in ensuring the operations line is properly staffed and effectively operational.
• Provide guidance to MSRs with difficult transactions.
• Balance daily transactions and maintain cash handling accuracy.
• Conduct staff meetings and training updates.
• Lead performance and accountability sessions with MSR staff.
• Develop staff schedules to ensure coverage.
• Explain services to members to generate additional business for the credit union.
