Job summary

Self-Help Services Corp is seeking a dedicated Member Service Supervisor for our Little Village, IL team. This role leads MSRs, manages cash handling, and ensures branch operations run smoothly while upholding our mission to expand economic opportunity.

You will train and mentor MSRs, balance daily transactions, and ensure compliance with policies. Fluency in English/Spanish and flexibility for evenings/weekends are preferred. Join a mission-driven nonprofit with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years’ MSR II or equivalent experience including cash-handling and customer service.
• Preference for teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong commitment to economic opportunity for underserved communities.
• Experience in developing and supervising MSR staff.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Experience with computer software systems: New Solutions and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workstations are organized and equipped for the start of the business day.
• Assist in ensuring the operations line is properly staffed and effectively operational.
• Provide guidance to MSRs, as appropriate, with more difficult transactions.
• Evaluate documents prepared by all MSRs to ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist MSRs in balancing daily transactions.
• Control cash and all negotiable items; secure them.
• Maintain cash levels and security compliance at the branch.
• Conduct cash drawer audits and currency shipments.
• Provide on-the-job training and feedback to MSRs.
• Support branch leadership with scheduling and performance discussions.
• Explain services to members to generate additional business.
• Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act and AML regulations.
