Job summary

First Financial Credit Union in Montclair, CA is seeking a Full Time Member Service Representative. You will help members with accounts, loans, and services, and will support back-office operations with cash handling and teller backup.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• At least two years of banking experience or minimum six months in New Accounts and Consumer Loan experience.
• Minimum six months of customer service and cash handling experience.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include weekends.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to navigate multiple screens and PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides information to members on all accounts, services and products; cross-sells to meet targets.
• Interviews members to obtain documentation for loans and services; opens accounts.
• Processes loan disbursements and forwards loan packages to the Loan department.
• Prepares audits on member accounts and makes necessary journal entries.
• Resolves member problems and researches accounts for quick resolution.
• Handles DMV paperwork and related processing.
• Performs clerical duties: phones, visitors, copying, faxes, and ordering supplies.
• Opens/closes accounts using computer terminals and verifies balances.
• Participates in online training to develop sales and service skills.
