Job summary

Guardian Credit Union in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to deliver prompt, accurate service at the counter, by phone, and by mail. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, while confidently cross-selling credit union products.

A HS diploma or GED and at least 6 months in a financial setting are expected. Training will cover policy explanations, confidentiality, and professional conduct; you must be bondable and able to move boxes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a credit union or other financial institution.
• Typing at least 35 words per minute and ability to explain policy clearly.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Credit Union to members in a friendly, positive, and professional manner across over-the-counter, phone, and mail transactions.
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other member inquiries.
• Meet goals by cross-selling products and services offered by the Credit Union.
• Assist in complex transactions, member questions/issues, and other requests, including transactional overrides.
• Open sub-accounts for current members, including debit card issuance, and close accounts per guidelines; ensure accuracy.
• Check approval authority at manager’s discretion.
• Accurately reconcile checks and cash drawer daily.
• Perform duties to support MSRIs and new staff training.
