Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to build relationships with members, assess financial needs, and offer suitable deposit and loan products. You will welcome members in person, answer questions, and guide them through account openings and servicing with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

In this role you will handle deposits, loans, transfers, and everyday banking tasks, while promoting additional products to deepen member relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in banking, finance, business or related field required.
• Two years of relevant experience; lending and financial services preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service by meeting and speaking with members to uncover financial needs and provide appropriate solutions utilizing products and services available within Community First.
• Open and service deposit accounts for members or prospective members, including savings, checking, certificates, money markets, HSA, IRA, ACH, and ATM; close accounts when necessary.
• Assist members with service needs, including wire transfers, payroll deduction/direct deposit, check and ATM requests, and statement queries.
• Assist members in the resolution of questions or concerns regarding their accounts.
• Take loan applications, perform debt ratio/collateral analysis, obtain approval, close loan, and complete file.
• Customize protection solutions for lending products, including payment protection, GAP, and warranty.
• Address member questions about mortgage loans, commercial loans, credit cards, and other products or services.
• Promote and cross-sell based on member needs all credit union products and services to increase services per household and deepen member relationships.
