Job summary

Expedition Credit Union in Woodbury, MN is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to join our Front Office team. This full-time role handles cash drawers, assists members with account needs, and promotes our products and services.

You will be the first point of contact for members, delivering best-in-class service by phone and in person, meeting performance goals, and learning regulatory requirements to protect members and the credit union.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and cash handling to count cash and balance drawer.
• Prior experience in a credit union or bank as MSR or teller is beneficial but not required (training provided).
• Excellent verbal communication and an outgoing, energetic attitude.
• 2+ years in sales, retail, or customer service with proven goal achievement.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of all products and services offered by the credit union.
• Willingness to learn regulatory/compliance requirements relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and balance cash drawers daily with minimal balancing errors.
• Sales experience to promote products and services to members.
• Meet individual performance goals and contribute to branch and credit union goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providing best-in-class service and informed recommendations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Open new deposit accounts (savings, checking) and conduct inbound/outbound calls.
• Educate members on Expedition CU offerings to meet their needs.
• Identify referral opportunities to other staff/departments through rapport with members.
• Operate and balance cash drawer daily with minimal errors.
• Protect assets and mitigate risk by identifying fraudulent or suspicious activity.
