Role Description

The Member Service Representative is a full-time, on‑site role located in Port Wentworth, GA. In this position, the individual will assist members with everyday banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries, and loan payments, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. The role includes answering phones, responding to member questions, and providing guidance on credit union products and services that support members’ financial goals. The Member Service Representative will open and maintain accounts, process applications, and resolve member issues in a timely, professional manner. This role also involves using computer systems to document interactions, verify information, and follow established policies and procedures to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse members.
• Proficient Phone Etiquette, including clear speaking, active listening, and effective call handling.
• Solid Computer Literacy, with the ability to learn and use banking software, digital tools, and basic office applications.
• Basic understanding of Finance, including savings, loans, and general banking concepts, or willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions, documentation, and member records.
• Ability to work on‑site in Statesboro, GA, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Prior experience in a credit union, bank, or customer‑facing role is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, finance, or related fields is a plus.
