Job summary

The YMCA of Centre County is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative to warmly assist members and guests at the front desk. You will handle memberships, guest passes, and program sales using the DAXKO Operations system, while maintaining a secure, clean front desk area.

Proficiency with Excel, Word, and web-based systems is expected, along with a high school diploma. Enjoy benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, a 403b and a free YMCA membership for eligible staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all members, guests and prospective members.
• Maintain front desk security and cleanliness.
• Process memberships and guest passes using DAXKO Operations system.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile shift transactions.
• Answer phones courteously and provide information about Y facilities.

Job description

The State College YMCA is currently accepting applications for a full-time Member Service Representative who will be responsible for ensuring that all interactions with Y members, potential members, and guests are conducted in a warm, friendly, and efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Remain attentive and aware to greet everyone that enters the facility.
• Preserve the security and maintain the cleanliness of the front desk/reception area.
• Process memberships, guest passes, and other program sales utilizing the DAXKO Operations system.
• Keep proper reconciliation and close-out of shift transactions, including balancing the cash drawer at the desk area.
• Answer the telephone in a polite and courteous manner.
• Provide tours and information about Y facilities and programming to prospective members.
• Study and be aware of all written materials published by the Y, including the Member Handbook, brochures, flyers, etc. and be prepared to communicate information to the general public.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and web-based operating systems.
