Job summary

West Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Member Service Representative to assist members with their lending needs. You will help with loan applications, review credit reports, and prepare documents for underwriting, while delivering courteous service in person.

The role emphasizes identifying cross-sell opportunities and staying current on credit union products. A high school diploma and familiarity with CU*Answers or lending is preferred; background

• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with the loan application process.
• Pull credit reports and calculate the debt-to-income ratios.
• Prepare loan applications for underwriting and complete necessary documentation to fund or deny a request.
• Open memberships.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and make appropriate recommendations of products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and accounts and related policies and procedures.
