Job summary

Jetstream-Federal-Credit-Union is seeking a Member Service Rep Specialist to join our Miami Lakes team. The role handles all member account transactions, opens new accounts, processes loans, and uncovers sales opportunities while delivering a high level of service.

The MSR II Specialist works with the branch team to meet deposit and loan goals, recommend products, and resolve member servicing issues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of similar or related experience required.
• High school education or GED; 2-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding member experience with a member-first attitude.
• Process financial transactions, manage cash drawer, balance accordingly.
• Service deposits and loans, and input new accounts.

Role:

The MSR II Specialist assists new and existing members of the Credit Union with all of their account transactions and uncovers sales opportunities. In addition, position acts as a resource in identifying and resolving member servicing issues. The teller is an extension of the sales team and may open new accounts, input loan applications, and through conversations with members uncover financial needs, communicates product/ promotional opportunities, and refers members to the branch relationship management team.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Consistently provide an outstanding member experience, with a member first attitude.
• Accurately process all financial service transactions, maintain responsibility for cash drawer, and follow proper balancing procedures.
• Service new and existing deposit and loan accounts, and perform new account processing.
• Proactively advise members on our products and services, by effectively interacting with members on how to take advantage of its benefits and features.
• Achieve personal goals in deposits, loans, and referrals and assist the Branch in reaching new business development goals.
• Comply with regulations, credit union policies and procedures, and security procedures.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1. To provide timely, accurate, professional and confidential administrative support.

2. Meet and exceed TRAIL, financial, and production goals.

3. To proactively develop, improve, and expand knowledge/skills while striving for performance excellence.

4. Accurately complete all member requested, transactions and data input accounting to Jetstream policies and procedures.

5. Ensure complete adherence to established policies and procedures paying special attention to balancing requirements.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience 2+ years of similar or related experience required.

Education:

A high school education or GED, 2-year degree (Preferred)

Interpersonal Skills:

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Physical Requirements

• Highly interactive environment requires the ability and desire to actively engage members.
• Frequent computer use at a workstation.
• Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting.
• Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
