Job summary

Credit Union of Southern California is hiring a Member Service Officer III, Floater, to support the Retail Support Team. The role focuses on staffing across all zones (LA, San Bernardino, Whittier, Orange) and will be based at the El Monte branch.

Responsibilities include advising Members, processing accounts and loans, audits, and promoting C.U. benefits. Work hours align with business needs, including some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years’ experience with a financial institution in Member/customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Processes new Memberships and additional share accounts; open and close Estate Trust accounts; review Power of Attorney, Trust, and Business documents for accuracy; counsel Members regarding policies; verify information; process requests; perform audits on memberships.
• Processes consumer loan applications; provide information on loan products; assist with loan document signings and DMV paperwork.
• Develops relationships with Members; meet minimum sales goals as defined by the credit union.
• Handle Member inquiries; research and correct errors; diffuse upset Members and provide solutions.
• Performs complex account administration; IRA knowledge for complex distributions.
• Performs teller duties as needed; serve as Notary Public and assist with Medallion and Signature Guarantee requests.
• Maintain superior Member service and comply with policies; train and onboard new staff.
• Assist Members with dispute forms and identify potential fraud.
• Adhere to CARE 4 standards and brand guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned.
