Job summary

Horizon Credit Union is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Member Service Representative to help members with daily banking, loans, and accounts. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and delivering a positive member experience.

You'll verify cash transactions, process payments, and educate members on products and services while growing relationships and supporting the community. A GED or high school diploma and customer service experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months customer service and/or cash handling experience required.
• One year related financial institution, customer service, and cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each interaction creates a positive member experience with relevant solutions.
• Verify cash transactions and balance drawers per Horizon's standards.
• Process loan payments and maintain basic accounts including IRAs/HSA postings.
• Educate members on Horizon's products and services to improve financial well-being.
• Conduct outbound calls to promote credit union products and services.
• Deliver omnichannel experiences with accurate financial calculations.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Understand Horizon's products and competitors to communicate value.
• Build relationships through need-based conversations and referrals.
