Job summary

AAA Travel Consultant EC in Indiana is seeking a skilled Travel Advisor to sell travel products and services to members and non-members, provide trip advisory information, and handle quotes and bookings accurately.

You will use club technology, maintain confidentiality, and strive to meet sales goals while delivering high levels of service, supporting cross-sell opportunities, and contributing to member value.

Qualifications

• High School GED Required
• Associates Preferred
• 4-6 years Travel agency or sales
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills required
• Moderate analytical and time management skills required
• Ability to create and deliver presentations
• Proven track record in travel sales
• Must maintain systems knowledge for ticketing of airlines, cruises and rail
• Flexibility to work weekends, flexible hours, and to attend offsite training and events is essential

Responsibilities

• Sell foreign and domestic travel related products and services.
• Enter quotes in club technology and maintain transaction accuracy.
• Advise clients on travel requirements and protection plans.
• Meet sales and cross-sell goals while delivering high service quality.
• Maintain confidentiality of client/member information.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and provide leads to other departments.
• Document and explain write-offs or shortages to management.
