Job summary

Credit Union 1 Alaska in Kotzebue, AK is seeking a friendly Teller to support members with everyday financial needs, process transactions, and promote CU1 products and services. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong member relations in a busy branch.

This position requires a high school diploma and at least six months in a financial or customer service role. You will work with multiple software programs, adhere to BSA/AML rules, and participate in team training and branch

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Six months of financial institution, cash handling, call center, customer service or sales experience
• Excellent communication skills with members across channels
• Ability to communicate one-on-one and in groups
• Remain calm with difficult members and maintain professionalism
• Proactive in presenting credit union products and services
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC policies

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ownership of transactions and provides excellent service with every member interaction.
• Assists members with deposits, payments, withdrawals, and transfers with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Resolves member account issues and documents transactions per policy.
• Educates members on CU technologies like ATM/ITM, DocuSign, Online Access, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, and Mobile Wallet.
• Explains features/benefits of CU products and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Reviews suspicious transactions and processes transactions within limits.
• Keeps knowledge of security procedures and adheres to safety rules.
• Performs branch opening and closing duties and balances daily cash summaries.
