Job summary

GPO FCU is seeking a Float Teller to join our team in New Hartford, NY. The role has primary contact with members and focuses on delivering friendly, accurate cash transactions while advocating for products that meet members' needs.

You will work at a home branch with coverage across other locations and a schedule of Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The position emphasizes cash handling, member service, and a proactive approach to refer financial products to support branch goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months cash-handling experience.
• Strong customer service and math skills.
• Ability to promote financial products to members.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members to ensure a positive experience and build relationships.
• Refer products and services to meet member needs and branch goals.
• Complete transactions accurately to balance drawer daily.
• Greet members to create a welcoming environment.
• Handle transactions professionally to foster trust and confidence.
• Resolve issues and answer questions or refer to another staff member as needed.
• Maintain ATM and night depository as directed.
• Protect member information and follow confidential policies.
• Contribute to a smooth teller line with other duties as assigned.
