Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Merchandise Protection Associate to protect merchandise, monitor entrances/exits, and provide outstanding member service. The role focuses on safety, policy compliance, and efficient service at the doorway and throughout the club.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, the ability to use handheld devices, and completion of required training. Weekly pay and competitive benefits accompany growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail required.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Ability to use a smart handheld device.
• Must complete required training and certification processes.
• Must be employed with the company for at least 6 months.
• At least 18 years of age, with state-specific exceptions noted.

Responsibilities

• Delivers superior member service, greeting and assisting members promptly.
• Maintains and exhibits clear understanding of merchandise protection procedures.
• Reviews and maintains the AP Alert Binder per standards.
• Follows BEST procedures for cross-checking receipts and discrepancy handling.
• Audits Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside and Same Day Delivery per procedures.
• Inspects bags and belongings at exit and ensures safety and policy compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports team goals.
