Job summary

Vibrant Credit Union is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to assist in consumer loan operations, specializing in payoff processing, GAP/warranty claims and insurance tracking. You will provide top‑tier service for member loan maintenance and ensure accurate data across systems.

The role requires a high school diploma and some banking experience, with responsibilities spanning claims, refunds, reporting, and compliance duties in a professional office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience working at a financial institution is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of core banking systems, phone and ticketing systems, and loan servicing systems.
• Basic knowledge of loan servicing compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process total loss claims, payoff processing, and EFT payments.
• Answer inquiries and verify data with third‑party insurance providers.
• Complete CPI-related claims/refunds/exceptions on all loans and products.
• Generate loan‑specific reports from the core system as requested.
• Apply refund proceeds and handle loan cancellations/refunds per policy.
• Resolve tickets to meet Service Level Agreements.
