Job summary

California Coast Credit Union in San Diego seeks a Personal Financial Representative to deliver exceptional member service while cross-selling financial products. You will open new accounts, assist with loans, and ensure accurate documentation in line with CCCU policies and regulatory requirements.

This role supports branch operations, may serve as notary, and acts as a resource for members navigating financial options.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• PFR I: 1 year experience in a financial institution or related field.
• PFR II: 2 years experience in a financial institution (with 1 of the 2 years as a PFR) or related field plus proven sales/service performance.
• PFR III: 3 years experience in a financial institution (with 2 of the 3 years as a PFR) or related field plus proven performance in sales and service.
• Excellent communication skills; sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, work with coworkers and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Opens new accounts and cross-sells CCCU products and services to members.
• Processes consumer and real estate loans.
• Ensures loan documents are accurate and complete; meets underwriter stipulations.
• Addresses difficult member situations and resolves them positively.
• Serves as a backup to Personal Financial Assistant or Teller; may be notary.
• Completes documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations; supports BSA/AML compliance.
• Participates in activities to increase member growth and retention.
• Performs other related duties as required.
