Job summary

Kitsap Credit Union in Washington state is hiring for Member Associate I, II and III (Teller/Personal Banker) across the area, including the South Kitsap Branch in Port Orchard. These roles focus on creating exceptional member experiences while processing transactions and guiding members to digital and remote services.

You'll promote products, balance transactions accurately, and meet sales goals as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of cash handling, customer service, and/or retail sales experience.
• 1 year of Financial Institution experience with New Accounts and Consumer Lending experience (HE/HELOC experience preferred but not required).
• Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with SAFE Act regulations.
• Ability to work Saturdays and extended business hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with their financial needs and transactions. Identify, develop, and refer business relationships to build market position.
• Educate and introduce current and new members to new products and services and assist in self-service options.
• Foster and maintain constructive member relationships.
• Review and maintain knowledge of products.
• Understand and recommend products and services based on the member’s needs.
• Participate in sales and community events to contribute to branch and credit union goals.
• Use effective sales techniques that result in a positive member experience and meet or exceed sales goals.
• Maintain knowledge and adhere to operational, regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
• Accept and process all financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain responsibility and follows proper balancing procedures.
• Promote and effectively demonstrate digital, remote and self-serve options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced.
• Proactively generate new memberships through branch sales activities.
