Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Antonio is seeking a Part-Time Membership Representative on-site in San Antonio, TX. You will welcome members, promote memberships and programs, and maintain an orderly lobby while providing exceptional service over the phone and in person.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months of customer service experience preferred. Certifications due within weeks include Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Emergency

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred 6 months of customer service or related experience.
• Certifications within the first week: Bloodborne Pathogens and Hazardous Communications.
• Certifications within the first 60 days: YMCA approved CPR, First Aid, AED, and Emergency Oxygen.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to type 45 wpm and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with ActiveNet within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Responds to the individual needs of members and guests.
• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, contributing to member retention and lobby upkeep.
• Conducts interviews and tours; sells memberships.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with volunteers and members.
• Serves others by welcoming, connecting, and supporting members, inviting involvement and giving back to the community.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of issues.
• Assists with donations, balances cash, and processes end-of-shift controls.
