Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a friendly and service-oriented Member Service Representative for the Forsyth County Family YMCA location. You will assist members, greet guests, process memberships and program registrations, and respond to inquiries both in-branch and by phone.

Under the direction of the Membership Director, you will build positive relationships, uphold safety protocols, and maintain privacy while delivering high-quality service to a diverse community.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of computers (MS Word, MS Excel)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve, and possess effective time management skills
• High degree of human relation skills: ability to effectively communicate and manage information to peers, staff, and volunteers
• Ability to establish, collaborate and maintain relationships with staff, YMCA members, volunteers, schools, and public

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Welcome members as they enter and leave the YMCA.
• Greet, engage, and/or provide tours to prospective members and program participants.
• Support and/or is directly involved in the sale of memberships and/or program registrations.
• Actively develop, educates, and owns the knowledge base to quickly respond to member, prospective member, and program member questions.
• Take steps to building committed and connected relationships with members, volunteers, and collaborative partners.
• Directly handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Implements the YMCA safety protocols related to branch operations.
