Job summary

Alabama Credit Union is seeking a Member Experience Representative to serve members at the Decatur, Countyline and Greenbrier Branches in Alabama. This full-time frontline role focuses on onboarding members, opening accounts, and facilitating financial transactions to build lasting relationships.

The position involves helping with loan requests and guiding members through available products and services, all while delivering excellent service and contributing to the branch team’s success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and cash handling skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening.
• Ability to describe and sell financial products and services.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

This position exists to serve our members at the Decatur, Countyline and Greenbrier Branches in Alabama. This is a full-time frontline position. A Member Experience Representative engages members by onboarding them with Alabama Credit Union by opening new accounts and providing a relationship‑building experience; assist members with loan request along with assisting them with their financial transactions, involving giving and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments while providing opportunities for members to utilize additional products and services offered by Alabama Credit Union.

Duties include opening accounts, helping our members with their basic financial transactions (such as conducting deposits and withdrawals, posting credit card payments and balance transfers, receiving debit card and check orders, etc.) accurately and efficiently, and providing information about products and services to members in order to serve their financial needs. Requirements

Minimum qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service skills, cash handling, good computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and web‑based applications), the ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening, the ability to describe and sell products and services to members, the ability to change focus efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, and above all, a desire to help others in your community.

Other preferred qualifications: one to three years of similar or related experience. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first‑level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Physical Requirements: During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, scanning, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
