Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an energetic leader to support daily branch operations and elevate member experiences as the Experience Delivery Director at the Chickahominy Family YMCA. This role oversees key program areas, leads service teams, and ensures operational excellence while fostering a welcoming environment for all.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership experience with the ability to supervise staff across multiple program areas.
• Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.
• Willingness to obtain certifications in wellness, aquatics, and other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Y in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with members, staff, and local stakeholders.
• Promote access, inclusion, and engagement by creating a welcoming environment for diverse populations.
• Oversee branch operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth team and member experiences and optimizing efficiency.
• Support program areas such as aquatics, membership, wellness, family programs, and sports, delivering high-quality service.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff within assigned departments, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure branch cleanliness and maintenance standards to promote a safe, inviting facility.
• Support membership and program initiatives including retention, registration, and development efforts.
• Serve as Executive Director during their absence and collaborate across departments and teams as needed.

Education

High School Diploma
