Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a friendly Membership Associate to assist current and prospective members with information about memberships and programs. You will greet guests, answer questions, and help members connect with the YMCA community.

Responsibilities include enrolling new members, processing applications, and providing courteous service in person or over the phone, all while upholding the YMCA five core values and ensuring a high-value member experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Minimum age of 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA values and assists members with inquiries.
• Answers inquiries and provides information on YMCA memberships and programs.
• Provides prompt, courteous customer service to members and guests.
• Registers members and participants in classes and programs.
• Enrolls new members and processes membership applications.
• Responds to and resolves member concerns.
• Sells memberships and conducts facility tours as needed.
