Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a Member Engagement Coordinator to execute daily logistics that keep the Family Center member-ready. The role coordinates programs, projects, and events, aligns spaces and collateral, and supports member acquisition and retention through tours, follow-ups, and simple reports.

You will partner across departments to connect members with wellness, aquatics, youth, and community programs, delivering a high-value, welcoming experience for all members and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year in sales, customer service, or relationship management.
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry; CRM or membership software experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage member and guest access control and ensure policy adherence.
• Open/close shifts as frontline contact; coordinate coverage and safety issues.
• Engage with members, provide friendly, solution-oriented support.
• Onboard new members; connect them to programs matching goals.
• Partner with staff to connect members to wellness, aquatics, youth, and community programs.
• Conduct tours highlighting facilities and programs; assist enrollment.
• Schedule tours, follow-ups, and prepare simple reports in YMCA systems.
• Maintain accurate records of tours, onboarding, events, and interactions.
• Attend staff meetings; support the Member Engagement department and represent the Y.
• Prepare membership reports for supervisors; ensure proper documentation.
• Keep records up-to-date; track sales, onboarding, and engagement activities.
• Complete required trainings; stay current with certifications and policies.
• Handle sensitive information per YMCA policies and confidentiality rules.
• Maintain professional appearance and embody the YMCA values.
• Report suspicious or inappropriate behavior; adhere to child protection requirements.
