Job summary

TowneBank is seeking a Member Service Representative (MSR) to welcome members, handle transactions, and support sales and service on the platform. The role includes teller duties and branch operations to ensure a smooth customer experience in Cary, NC.

Qualifications

• At least one year of bank teller experience with a single employer.
• Proven ability to give members excellent service in person, on the phone, and by email.
• At least one year of work experience using Outlook, Excel, Word and bank software programs.
• Flexibility to learn and grow as new systems or processes emerge.
• Ability to keep cash drawer in balance on a daily basis.
• Ability to accurately process monetary transactions in a timely fashion.
• Ability to work as an integral and reliable team player.
• Ability to be punctual and dependable, keeping unplanned absences to a minimum.
• Ability to listen well and resolve member issues in a positive manner.
• Able to multi-task on a daily basis.
• Able to learn new product information and promote benefits to members.

Responsibilities

• Handle monetary transactions for members and enter them in the Bank’s software programs and provide receipts.
• Verify checks and cash and examine documents for essential elements.
• Review and provide system overrides on other tellers’ transactions when needed.
• Follow the Bank’s security guidelines daily.
• Stay informed on check cashing policies and Federal laws to verify checks and cash.
• Review member accounts to make appropriate transaction decisions.
• Accurately balance cash drawer on a daily basis.
• Promote TowneBank and its products and services.
• Provide exquisite service to members in person, on the phone or by email.
• Display a professional appearance and behavior.
• Cross-train on bank products to assist on the platform as needed.
• Perform other duties such as balancing the cash dispenser, settling ATM, ordering supplies, and balancing branches.
• Adhere to AML and BSA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
