Job summary

First Book, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Manager, Member Marketing & Engagement. The role drives multi-channel campaigns, builds a scalable member experience, and fosters partnerships to grow the educator network.

You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on program execution, ensuring campaigns are user friendly and impactful. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in community management or digital marketing, strong copywriting, and proficiency with email deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Strong copywriting and written communication with attention to detail.
• Experience designing or contributing to customer- or member-facing initiatives for scale.
• Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns across channels.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-channel campaigns to members and prospects, highlighting membership benefits and resources.
• Define and track engagement KPIs: ad engagement, registrations, resource downloads, video views, referrals.
• Create content and graphics for campaigns using Canva or Photoshop; gather user-generated content.
• Develop KPIs and use insights to optimize programs and communications.
