Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA is seeking a Member Engagement Specialist to promote memberships, engage members and manage recruitment tracking. You will handle new memberships, process monthly fees, assist with program enrollment and provide friendly, professional service at the service desk.

Responsibilities include conducting facility tours, addressing inquiries, following check-in procedures, and maintaining a tidy lobby while collaborating with staff to ensure excellent member experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and facility tours with prospective members to promote memberships.
• Engage members and monitor recruitment and retention tracking and reporting.
• Identify and follow up with prospective members via branch promotions and reports.
• Handle all new memberships and monthly fee payments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster connections with members.
• Assist with program enrollment and complete opening/closing procedures.
• Follow check-in and service procedures and maintain a clean lobby.
