Job summary

The Atlantic in New Jersey seeks a Staff Member to provide personalized banking services to members, develop and maintain strong relationships, assess needs, and promote Credit Union products. The role involves extensive phone interactions to ensure top-quality service.

You will assist with deposits, loans, account servicing, and traditional teller duties, while staying current on online and mobile channels and participating in outreach to grow member engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED.
• At least two years experience in a financial institution or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word; able to learn new software as required.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term relationships with members through consultative service.
• Assist with opening/closing deposit accounts, loan requests, and servicing.
• Perform teller functions: cash drawer balancing and transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of all delivery channels (online, mobile, branch, phone, ATM).
• Participate in outbound initiatives to develop and grow relationships.
• Support branch supervisor with cash handling, audits, and settlements.
• Adhere to regulatory compliance and training; make sound decisions.
• Provide cross-departmental support and adapt to scheduling needs.
